Research Proposal

My theme is gas station and the process of producing oil. I chosen gas station and this sim topic. I’ll make my research pages related with m childhood experience at the gas station. The reason why I chose gas station is because it was my favourite place since I was a child. I often rode my parent’s cars. My mom always took me to my elementary school and went to work to her workplace and she came to pick me up again when she was done her work. Also, my father worked in Seoul. It took more than 2 hours from my house. My father drove this long distance even though he was tired for my family. My mom had to go to the gas station often because she drove her car almost everyday. For this reason, I have been familiar with cars and gas station. I like gas station and the oil smell. Especially, I like automatic car wash machine. When I entered the automatic car wash machine, it feels like go on an adventure. It was fun and exciting and it is still enjoyable for me. I am interesting in Fashion Design Technology: Menswear BA at London College of fashion. I am going to do research about gas station including car wash machine, and the process of making oil at the oil platform. I’ll use the resources I found on the internet and book. I can’t visit really place. There are so many resources on the internet on the internet so I can find various and useful resources about this topic. Also, I’ll do research with my childhood memory. I would like to do design with fabulous details on the unique shape of clothes. I want to make men’s clothes that can make people special. For example, I want to make clothes that make fr bands, singers, and celebrities standing out. My brand’s market level will target the middle high-end. My role model brands are Y/project, JW Anderson, and PAF. Bands, singers, and celebrities wear fabulous clothes that make their personalities stand out more than others when they go on stage or at special events. In other words, I want to make special clothes that make people’s personality stand out more. I want to use and show my line drawing skills and painting. I use acrylic paint, colour pencil, posca and oil paste. Also, I usually draw rough painting. I think this is my advantage because I draw unique mood of drawing. Also, I want to learn many new things through this project. For example, I want to learn more about linking with my research with my designs, and using many materials as many as I can use on my project. First of all, I want to upgrade my research pages. Sometimes my illustration and line drawing are not clean. So I’ll draw clear drawings. Then, I will pay more attention to the layout of the digital portfolio. I submitted my digital portfolio for the first time in therm 2. I submitted it with a layout that was not well organised at that time, so I planned to complete it with more care during term 3’s digital pages. It should be made to have a deep impression. In order to create a digital page with a fancy layout, I will research the layout of Pinterest or magazines (Dazed & Confused, 032c) a kit and make them with inspiration.
